Glue-down luxury vinyl plank is marketed as waterproof. We label this claim as false. With that in mind, Ken gives recommendations for cleaning glue-down LVP so that your installation doesn’t fail.
More people are interested in gluing down their luxury vinyl floor instead of clicking it together. A few common reasons for this is that you don't need to pull and replace baseboards and you don't need shoe molding. Here's one thing to remember about glue-down luxury vinyl floors: Do not use a lot of water or harsh chemicals to clean it.
Even if the surface of your glue-down vinyl plank floor won't be affected, the problem is that the moisture will eventually seep into the cracks between the planks. Eventually, when that moisture gets underneath the floor, it will erode the adhesiveness of the glue.
Don't use a lot of water and don't use a lot of chemicals on glue-down vinyl floors if you want to avoid having problems in the future.
