Ken's Quick Answer:

What makes me happy? Classical music, Italian restaurants and, yes, Schluter’s Jolly tile molding. It makes tile installations easier by 1.) hiding raw edges and 2.) protecting those edges if you’re transitioning between tile and another type of floor.

Ken's In-Depth Answer:

I want to talk to you about tile today. Specicially, about my favorite molding. It's called a Jolly. It makes me as happy as the name suggests!

What is a Jolly? It's an L-shaped molding made by a company called Schluter. It sits on the edge of the tile so that you don't see the raw, unglazed edge of that tile.

In addition to hiding the unglazed edge of tile, Jolly allows you to terminate another carpet or hardwood floor up against that edge without any risk of damage.

So, if you don't have a bullnose for your ceramic tile or porcelain tile, think about Jolly. You'll be happy!
