Ken's Quick Answer:

"Flooring transitions can reduce the chance of falling and help make sure that your floor wears properly. Double check that your installer uses them everywhere they are needed!"

Ken's In-Depth Answer:

"Today, I want to talk to you about one of the most important things in the floor covering business that most people don't even think about or notice. The subject is flooring transitions.

What are transitions? Transitions are little strips of material—could be metal, could be wood, could be vinyl—that help you go from one floor to another.

Without transitions, you're gonna trip and your floor covering is not going to wear properly. It can make the difference between a job that lasts a long time and a job that has problems almost immediately.

So, when your floor covering professional comes out to your house to measure and estimate for new flooring, they should be looking at transitions. If they're not, ask them the question: 'What are you going to put between these two rooms?'

Transitions are important. We want to make sure that they only trip you make is the one that you go on for vacation.
